Versailles season 1

The historical drama Versailles season 1 tells us about the ascension and the reign of the young king Louis XIV in 1667. A young king who is just 28 decides to make big changes in the politics. Louis at the same time is ready for serious steps but he also feels the threaten from the side of nobles. With time, the king creates inside Versailles a trap to keep all everybody under the control and he left them with no rights and abilities. So, in this way, Louis XIV makes a golden prison out of the castle. This tactic seemed to be too hard, but the only way he was confident of his own safety. The king himself can be not just cruel, he also has romantic sides and he shows them just to chosen people.
